‘Beastars’ Season 2: Mid-July 2021 Netflix Release Date & What To Expect

Beastars, which has had a successful first season, is now one of the most watched anime on Netflix. Now that we know a second season is on the way, the biggest question is “when will it arrive on Netflix?”. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that another season, Beastars, will be coming to Netflix on July 15, 2021.

Beastars, a Netflix Original anime series that is based on Paru Itagaki's manga "Beastars", can be viewed online.

In September 2016, the manga's debut was made. At this writing, 17 volumes had been published. The anime version of the manga has seen a strong fan following.

We got our first glimpse at Beastars season 2, in October 2020 via a poster by NX. Captioned with “Someone in the Cherryton Academy drama club has a secret”.

Is Beastars renewed for another season?

If you watched the first season of Beastars all the way to the end credits, then you’ll already know that the anime series is getting a second season.

Further confirmation of this is provided by NX on Netflix's Tweet on July 17, 2020.

Orange: Animation Studio, the production company behind Beastars has been teasing production shots for season 2. The studio’s another main Netflix project, Godzilla Singular Point, arrives on June 24th, 2021.

What date will Netflix release Beastars season 2 on its streaming service?

We’d known for some time that the second season Beastars was coming to Netflix in July 2021, but a complete release date has now only just been revealed!

Now, we can confirm that Beastars Season 2 will be available on Netflix worldwide starting Thursday, July 15, 2021.

What number of manga chapters will the second series cover?

Although not all anime adaptations are faithful to the original source material, Beastars did a great job of staying true to the manga.

The first season contained 47 chapters, while the second will contain roughly 50.

After reading ahead to see what we can expect from the next season, it’s more than likely the second season will end around chapter 97.

The second season: What can we expect?

Legoshi saved Haru's life from the Shishigumi. Legoshi became closer to the Dwarf Rabbit, but still had difficulties with their differences in predator and prey.

Haru finally accepted Legoshi's feelings, but the gray-colored young wolf needs to grow stronger before they become an item. Expect to see Legoshi’s training step up a gear with the panda Gohin.

To become strong, Legoshi would genetically have to eat meat, but as that isn’t an option he’ll be left with no choice but to learn more from Gohin.

Louis' fate

At the end of the first season, it was reported that Louis was missing in the paper, the last we’d seen of the Red Deer was his confrontation with the Shishigumi.

A student as smart as Louis couldn’t have possibly allowed himself to be eaten, but pride of angry lions may be seeking revenge for the death of their boss.

Tem’s killer to be revealed

One of the biggest questions that remain unanswered is the identity of Tem’s killer?

The only clues we’ve had so far is the killer takes medication, is huge as it towers over Legoshi, and must be a member of the drama club.

The drama club has a few carnivores, but who would be the most likely to harm Tem the alpaca. After proving that he had eaten herbivore food, has Bill the Tiger been able to eat another classmate as well?

Is there a chance we will see the third season of Beastars again?

Beastars has grown immensely in popularity since the anime release so we’re expecting to see more than just two seasons of the series.

Take into account that the Beastars manga had completed 192 chapters at the time this update was written. It would suggest that at least two more seasons of Beastars are on Netflix.
